Grounds for election

Dr Duncan Wright is a Senior Lecturer at The Australian National University (ANU), specialising in Australian Indigenous archaeology. His research involves collaboration with Torres Strait Islander and Australian Aboriginal communities, with archaeology used to historicise practices and places of social, political and/or spiritual significance. He has published widely on these topics. His current research explores the materiality of traditional ritual pilgrimage with an eastern Torres Strait context, and he is also involved in excavation and analysis of the mid-upper Palaeolithic site of Dzerava Skala in Slovakia.
