Grounds for election

Angela Trentacoste is a Research Associate in the School of Archaeology at the University of Oxford and a zooarchaeologist specialising in the Prehistoric and Classical Mediterranean. Following a PhD from the University of Sheffield, she joined the Oxford Roman Economy Project and then led the Italian research agenda on the ZooMWest ERC project "Zooarchaeology and Mobility in the Western Mediterranean: husbandry production from the Late Bronze Age to Late Antiquity". Her research encompasses the breadth of contemporary archeozoological practice and is published in both scientific and theoretical journals. She has received awards and fellowships from the British School at Rome, Etruscan Foundation, Gerda Henkel Stiftung, Humboldt Foundation, and Lincoln College Oxford, as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the International Council for Archaeozoology (ICAZ), the largest organisation for zooarchaeologists internationally.
