From 1984-2006 Tim was Keeper of Archaeology & Collections Manager at Worcester City Museums, where he produced several exhibitions & wrote many articles, mainly on the history & archaeology of Worcester. He co-authored 'Worcester: a Pictorial History. Since 2002 Tim has been part-time Conservation Adviser to the Victorian Society covering casework on Victorian & Edwardian buildings in Birmingham & the West Midlands. From 2011-2021 Tim was part-time Church Buildings Support Officer advising on the conservation and reordering of historic church buildings in Herefordshire & South Shropshire. He is author of 'Churches of Worcestershire' & 'Churches of the Black Country' & contributed the chapter on J. A. Chatwin to the Victorian Society's 'Birmingham's Victorian & Edwardian Architects' & the entry on Chatwin in DNB. Tim is chair of two Historic Churches trusts & serves on Hereford, Worcester & Birmingham Diocesan Advisory committees and on Lichfield Cathedral Fabric Committee
