Sir Rupert Jackson has combined a distinguished legal career with a continuing and active interest in Classics, with an especial focus on Roman Britain. He has been a contributor to 'Classics for All', and chairs its lawyers support group. Since his retirement he has researched Roman Britain and has recently published 'The Roman Occupation of Britain and its Legacy' (Bloomsbury Academic, 2021).
