Grounds for election

Tony Hack is a local historian and Archaeologist. He has run the Wiltshire Medieval Graffiti Survey since 2014 recording the medieval graffiti of parish churches, bridges and barns. He is a specialist in the use of photogrammetry, Reflectance Transformation Imaging and Laser Scanning, utilising these techniques on a Roman Parcae sculpture recently discovered in Calne, Wiltshire. Tony’s findings have been published in the Wiltshire Archaeology & Natural History Society’s annual Journal. Other work includes: The Apotropaic, Historic & Functional Symbols of the Ecclesiastical Barns of Lacock, Wiltshire and The Bradford on Avon Monastic Barn: A study and interpretation of Apotropaic and Historic Graffiti. Tony also works as a specialist consultant for businesses engaged in heritage conservation as well as charities.
