Grounds for election

After a PhD at the Sorbonne, a scholarship at the Maison française (Oxford) and a scholarship at Trinity College (Cambridge), Yvan Loskoutoff was Assistant Professor at Toulouse University and is currently Professor at Le Havre University. He is a member of the Académie des Jeux floraux (Toulouse, founded 1323). He specializes in symbolism (particularly heraldry) which he has successfully investigated in a number of domains, notably literature, art history and numismatics. He is the author of 5 books and 80 articles. He has organized ten international colloquia, four of which were on the medallic history of Louis XIV.
