Grounds for election

From2015 she co-convened the Digital Pilgrim Project, a Cambridge University project supported by the Paul Mellon Centre & The British Museum. It created resources to aid engagement with and study of medieval badges and pilgrim souvenirs using 3D modelling and GIS mapping software. From 2017-18, she worked in the British Library, helping to catalogue and interpret manuscripts digitised as part of The Polonsky Foundation England and France Project: Manuscripts from the British Library and the Bibliothèque nationale de France, 700-1200. Her PhD research centred on a fourteenth-century English manuscript (BL Egerton MS 3028). This led her to explore the role of images in chivalric pedagogies and the political utility of history, especially the deep myth of Britain. Her thesis was AHRC-funded. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art. In September 2021, Amy published an illustrated trade book entitled Storyland: A New Mythology of Britain.
