Grounds for election

Dr Pudney has taught at the University of Chester since 2014, with promotion to Senior Lecturer in 2018. Her PhD thesis was on social identity and material culture around the Severn Estuary from the Late Iron Age and across the first half of the Roman Period, and she continues to research and publish on topics centring on those periods, with particular emphasis on phenomenology, symbolism, and ritual behaviour. She is also strongly involved in various aspects of public archaeology, with important publications on archaeologists working with previous offenders in rehabilitation schemes. She is Co-Director and Director of a number of prehistoric and Roman-period research projects in North-West Wales, and both a committee member and Outreach Officer for the Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies.
