Grounds for election

Following a distinguished military career, James was appointed as Beadle to the Worshipful Company of Grocers where his service was recognised with his admission to the Freedom of the City of London. For the last twenty years James has served as the Chief Inspector of Cathedral Constables and head of security and fire safety for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Canterbury Cathedral. James is also the Deputy Chief Officer for English Cathedrals Constables Association and is an active member of the board of Kent Heritage Watch. In his spare time James is an enthusiastic hillwalker, military historian and member of the Elvington & Eythorne Heritage Group.
