Grounds for election

Yevheniia is an experienced archaeozoologist who until very recently was a researcher at the Department for Monitoring and Conservation of the Animal World at the I.Shmalgauzen Institute of Zoology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. She graduated from the Department of Zoology at the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv in 2000 and studied for her Phd there. Over the last 15 years she has published numerous articles on animal remains from Ukrainian sites. Since 2016 she has also been working with German and Polish colleagues on the joint Ukrainian-German project ‘Antike Stadtentwickeln an der Grenze der griechischen Oikumene. Archäologische Untersuchungen im Vorstadtareal Olbia Pontike’. Amongst numerous publications she has produced articles on animal remains and broader questions of palaeoecology and human/animal interaction for sites dating from the neolithic to the early medieval periods, including Belozerskoye, Berezan, Hlynsky, Kirovohrad and Zhivotin
