Ross is a buildings archaeologist and dendrochronologist, specialising in the interpretation and digital survey of buildings and monuments in England and Wales, and is the Cathedral Archaeologist to St Davids, and Consultant Archaeologist to Christchurch Priory, Dorset. From his base in Ceredigion, he runs a practice called ArchaeoDomus, which he founded after leaving the RCAHM Wales in 2014. Through this practice he undertakes projects to survey, record, interpret and report on buildings of all forms and periods, as well as the more traditional fieldwork associated with archaeologists. He utilises the latest digital and electronic survey technologies to accurately survey sites for archaeological recording and interpretation, and works on scheduled monuments, cathedrals, churches, castles, and dwellings of all sizes and form.
