Grounds for election

Kristina Krawiec is a geoarchaeologist with over 20 years experience; presently Head of Geoarchaeology at the York Archaeology, and formerly Senior Geoarchaeologist at Archaeology South East. Kristina has led numerous research and commercial investigations into the exploitation of wetlands throughout the Holocene, including condition surveys on important sites such as the Flag Fen timber causeway, Sutton Common Marsh fort, and Lindholme Neolithic Trackway. Kristina’s present focus is on the Trent Valley, and the new York City Deposit Model. Kristina has published widely in peer reviewed journals including, Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society; Journal of Wetland Archeology; Journal of Archaeological Science; Catena and The Historic Environment: Policy and Practice, and monographs including the Spoilheap series, Oxbow and BAR. She recently contributed to Historic England’s Deposit Modelling Guidance and the Recording, Sampling, Conversation and Curation of Waterlogged Wood.
