Medically discharged from the Royal Marines, Richard joined Operation Nightingale, gaining a First Class and Masters degree from Exeter Uni. He established Breaking Ground Heritage to enable military veterans to access heritage projects and also to assess wellbeing efficacy in archaeology projects - where he is now a market leader, lecturing and publishing widely and addressing parliamentary committees.
