Hope Walker is Senior Instructor at Western Governors University USA, specializing in renaissance art. She was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship from the US Department of State for her studies on Tudor portraiture at University College London in 2005, and a grant from the Mellon Fund for her art historical research at the American University in 2008. Her current area of scholarly research is social networks and transnationalism among Netherlanders living in Tudor London, with a focus upon Hans Eworth. Her published work has significantly expanded the story of Eworth's oeuvre and career, especially his patronage networks. She has also published on the Dutch Church, Austin Friars, as a site of support for Netherlander painters during the 1560s and 1570s. She is working on the catalogue raisonné of Hans Eworth.
