Grounds for election
Dr Eva Mol is Lecturer in Roman Archaeology at the University of York. She is a specialist in Roman material culture studies, particularly the consumption of Egyptian culture in Roman Italy, and archaeological theory. Following completion of her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Leiden, Dr Mol has worked at the University of Amsterdam, Free University of Amsterdam, Chicago University, Brown University, and UCL, before taking up her post in York. She has published widely on her research themes, including object-centred approaches to Egyptianising material culture in the Roman world, and on the politics of Classical Archaeology. She has a track record of grants and awards, has collaborated on the preparation of a major exhibition at the Egyptian Museum in Turin, and has been a senior editor of Archaeological Dialogues since 2017. She is also actively involved in fieldwork in Italy.
