Grounds for election

Canon Warner is an antiquarian clergyman who has documented the liturgical & physical changes to all the Cornish Anglican churches 1800-2000 in a Gazetteer while serving 35 years as, successively, member, Secretary & adviser on Truro DAC. Administering operating & implementing the statutory decision-making process while a parish priest in the C20th inspired his MPhil dissertation on the maintenance, enhancement & future of all churches in one diocese; an account of the historical, architectural, liturgical, ecclesiological, pastoral, organisational & social impacts. He has lectured & contributed articles on church history to the Cornwall Buildings Group, the VCH of Cornwall, served on the Cornwall Pevsner revision committee, advised statutory consultees & those responsible for the churches on their history. Full publication of his Gazetteer is imminent, his book on J.P.St Aubyn, the Victorian architect who restored or designed c.1/3 of the Anglican churches in Cornwall, is in progress.
