Brian Hoggard is an archaeologist & historian who specialises in independent research into the archaeology of apotropaic devices associated with building protection. Researching this subject since 1999, Brian has accumulated a wealth of research material that is wide ranging in its subject matter and diverse in its nature. His work has been widely published, one example being the recent "Magical House Protection: The Archaeology of Counter Witchcraft" (Berghahn 2019) and as the prime mover of the successful "Hidden Charms" conference continues to educate and inspire at home & abroad.
