Sarah Percival is a leading and highly experienced specialist on Neolithic to Iron Age ceramics, and has contributed to a large number of excavation reports and monographs since 1993. First employed by the Norfolk Archaeological Unit in 1989 and then finding work with Wessex Archaeology, Cambridge Archaeological Unit and Oxford Archaeology East, she has acted in a freelance capacity since 2011 as Sarah Percival Prehistoric Pottery Analysis, writing reports for, at present, fourteen archaeological organizations. Her studies have concentrated on East Anglia and the East Midlands and her recent publications include a chapter on Peterborough ware in Barclay, A. & Gibson, A., Neolithic Impressed and Related Wares in Britain and Ireland (2025) and three contributions to Farley, J & Joy, J. The Snettisham Hoards. Vol. I (2024). She is currently Chair of the Prehistoric Ceramic Research Group.
